About This Lesson

Students often have a hard time with the rules of fractions so I put together this handout as a way to help them understand the vocabulary and why the rules apply. One must have common denominations of money in order to combine or spend it. With fractions one must have common denominators in order to add or subtract. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: 5.NF.2
